Happy New Year everyone! Where has the time gone? It feels like 2019 went by with the blink of an eye.
I welcomed the new year of 2020 with people I care about and wouldn’t of had it any other way. I always feel that on the 1st of January, the start of a new year, is the start of a fresh beginning. Like we are being reset and the past doesn’t matter because we are given another chance to do things over again. Last year was a rollercoaster ride for me with many ups and downs so I am glad that it is over with and I can start a new chapter. Today is the beginning of your 366 day journey. So make sure you make the most of it. Try new things and show the ones you love how much you care about them. Don’t procrastinate and leave things for tomorrow. Make the most of today.
2020 New Year Resolutions
Every new year I set my self a list of New Year Resolutions that I tick off as I complete them. Each year I try to do something I have never done or tried before so I can expand my knowledge and experience. For example one of my New Year Resolutions for 2019 was to read 200 books. Amazingly enough I managed to reach my target a couple of days before the year ended. There was a point where it seemed that I would not manage it but I powered through. I know that we begin the year with a lot of energy and enthusiasm of completing our resolutions and then a month later we have already given up most of the items on the list. The trick is to set realistic resolutions and set small tasks that build up to your goal – therefore when you complete each step you feel a sense of achievement towards your main goal. Also, having people around you who can help support you through your goals makes a difference. I wouldn’t have been able to achieve all my goals without them.
Persistence is key – do not give up on your goals and your dreams. You can do anything you set your mind to. Below are some of my new year resolutions for 2020:
- Spend more time with the people I care about
- Visit a new country
- Take more pictures and videos
Let me know in the comments below what some of your new year resolutions are. Lets support each other in completing them this year! Bring on 2020!
“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.”
